I am new to the blog world and in honour of my first ever post I will tell you a bit about myself. I am always busy during the school year because it is also my hockey season. I usually have hockey everyday of the week. I play defence for the Bluewater Jr Hawks in the Provincial Women's Hockey League (PWHL). We have to travel to anywhere from 2-8 hours for away games. It's not very well known but the PWHL is the main source of players for the NCAA, CIS and Olympic teams.
I have comitted to the uWaterloo Warriors CIS team for next season on an athletic scholarship. I am very excited to attend uWaterloo next year to study health science. Living in Waterloo next year will be a huge transition for me from country to city. I've never been on a city bus before!
I love working with children so I plan on getting a masters in education or occupational therapy. I dedicate most of my free time volunteering at public schools and working at hockey camps.
I caught the travel bug at quite a young age because of having family in Holland. I have been there twice for special occasions, a wedding and an anniversary. Since everything is so close in Europe we tour around Holland each time hitting Belgium, Germany, and France. I love to ski so I have been to British Columbia twice. While in Vancouver I tried bungee jumping! I was also able to spend last March break in Italy for a school trip. We started in Rome and toured until we ended in Venice. My family and I plan to visit Punta Canta sometime next month.
